World Chocolate Day is celebrated this Friday (7). The date, it is believed, remembers the day when cocoa was introduced in Europe from Switzerland, a world power in the production of sweets.
The city of São Paulo offers a wide range of places that serve chocolate, either in bars or with desserts made from it.

PIKURRUCHA’S
One of the most pop and instagrammable pastry shops in the city has a variety of sweets on the menu that have chocolate in the base. However, for those looking for something with more substance, the space also offers the so-called Taça Delícia (R$ 22), which brings a mix of layers formed by brownie, white brigadeiro, semisweet brigadeiro and strawberry. The pastry shop can be found at two addresses in São Paulo (in the head office, in Perdizes, and in Tatuapé) and one in the greater ABC region (in São Bernardo do Campo).

SUCRIER
The confectionery specializes in truffles, but has a series of pies and cakes with fillings and chocolate sauce. The highlight is the tarte sucrier, an authorial recipe that uses layers of cocoa sablé interspersed with brigadeiro and covered with Belgian chocolate. The only downside is that the dessert is only served whole, yielding six to eight generous slices, which cost R$245. cocoa, almond and brigadeiro. It comes out to BRL 49.

CHOCOLATE
One of the trendiest ateliers in the city, the house is notable for serving no less than 14 different types of honey bread. But those who prefer the classic chocolate bonbon, or even the traditional bars, can choose to taste the classic cat tongue with milk (R$68), or try the Assorted Bars, which are served in boxes of 20 (R$ $85) or 40 (R$170) units.

LU CHOCOLATES
The store, in São Caetano, is one of those for those who don’t give up bars and bonbons, as it offers chocolate in its most classic and pure state. The highlights are the handmade Belgian chocolate bars (R$ 35) and the chocolate chips, also Belgian (R$ 59). To celebrate World Chocolate Day, anyone who makes purchases over R$100 can choose a free gift. On the list are the Belgian brigadeiro (generally for R$5.30 each) and the classic honey bread stuffed with dulce de leche (usually R$17).

LE BON GÂTEAU
With a menu full of typical French confectionery recipes, the pastry shop has a variety of options for chocolate fans who prefer to harmonize the sweet with other types of flavors. The highlight is the classic café pie (R$16), which mixes cocoa and coffee beans with the fluffy and tasty sablé pastry. Also worth trying is the entremet (25), a Belgian chocolate mousse made with meringues and a crunchy gianduia.

THOUSAND CONFECTORY
Located in the middle of several stores on the ground floor of a residential building in Brooklin, the pastry shop opened by pastry chef Carolina Molena has some of the best mille-feuille in the city. For chocolate lovers, the best choice is the classic chocolate millefeuille, made with cream and 70% chocolate. It costs R$80 and can serve up to three people.

YOUR JUSTINO
If the request is a happy hour ending with a sweet, the bar, in one of the hottest spots in Vila Madalena, serves a classic petit gateau (R$ 24.90) made with semisweet chocolate. It accompanies a well-served paçoca farofa, cream ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. The franchise also has units in the neighborhoods of Tatuapé, in the east zone, and in Itaim Bibi, in the west zone.

OH CUSTOMER
If happy hour is in the north zone, Oh Freguês, in Freguesia do Ó, also offers options for chocoholics. Ask for the special recipe entitled Delicia da Praça (R$24.90). The delicacy takes chocolate ganache, caramelized banana with spices and whipped cream. All this is served in a sweet bowl.

The restaurant located in Vila Nova Conceição has a menu based on Mediterranean cuisine, but the dessert menu highlights the oro cioccolato caramello. The dessert is designed for chocolate bar fans. It is filled with toffee caramel, chocolate mousse, cocoa cake and wafer. It costs R$39 and can easily serve up to two people.

Conceived and signed by the confectioner Simone Izumi, the sweets menu stands out for the classic brigadeiro with creamy interior (R$ 13). However, one of the best dishes is trovão (R$17.90), especially for cake fans. Dessert is made with moistened chocolate dough, chocolate sauce and creamy brigadeiro and can be shared. If you also want a bar, try the honeycomb praline (R$ 36.50), a chocolate bar made with crunchy honey caramel and almond praline.

The Pinheiros bar expanded its business and conquered another sidewalk in the neighborhood. The unit, at number 510 av.
