Chico Chico plans to start a ‘new phase’ in December with an original EP in ‘contemporary style’

♪ At 30 years old, on the scene for eight years, Chico Chico releases his own EP on December 8th. Recently signed by the record label Deck, the artist from Rio understands that the album begins what he characterizes as a “new phase” in his recording career that began in 2015 as a member of the band 2×0 Vargem Alta. Two years after his first solo album, Pomares (2021), Francisco Ribeiro Eller bets on the “contemporary look” put on by music producer Pedro Fonseca in the four songs on the EP. Between buildings is from 2020. Maré is a new composition on album, as well as Espelho, a song chosen to announce the release of the EP as a single scheduled for November 1st. The recording of Espelho was made at the Rio studio Cia. dos Técnicos with the touches of musicians Federico Puppi (cello), Lucas Videla (percussion), Thiaguinho Silva (drums) and Walter Villaça (guitar and steel guitar). Producer and arranger of the track, Pedro Fonseca plays piano, Rhodes, bass, Hammond and synths in Espelho. Intro, theme by Chico Chico, completes the batch of original compositions on the EP by the singer, composer and musician, son of singer Cássia Eller (1962 – 2001).
