And who doesn’t have a per kilo restaurant up their sleeves and in their hearts? That’s why we asked five experts (whom you know well) which restaurant per kilo in Curitiba they recommend with their eyes closed. Check the selection:

Olivia Mercearia Artesanal

A buffet with varied salads and very elaborate dishes, very different from what we see around.

Olívia is the buffet by the kilo of the 5 Star Chef of the Bom Gourmet Award, Lênin Palhano. Inaugurated in August 2022, the space is inspired by old emporiums and small warehouses. Lunch is served every day from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. On site you can also find a selection of cheeses, charcuterie and wines.

Aquarius

Great value for money!

The 50-year-old bakery in the Bacacheri neighborhood is open 24 hours a day and has several sectors: traditional and rustic bakery, confectionery, cafeteria, restaurant and convenience. At lunch, the buffet per kilo is served from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, every day.

The menu is themed and varies during the week, ranging from Brazilian, Mexican, Italian and Arabic cuisine. On weekends, it also offers the option of roasted meats, risottos and salads.

Aquarius bakery is located at Avenida Mayor Erasto Gaertner, 363 – Bacacheri. The buffet costs R$72.90/kg from Monday to Friday, R$83.90/kg on Saturday and R$109.90/kg on Sunday. @aquariuscuritiba

The Lírio restaurant is one of those “finds” because we couldn’t find a phone number, website, or page on social networks. The only thing we know is that it exists, that Rui Morschel indicates, as well as several customers who left great reviews on the website restaurantguru.com.br.

And be very careful, as there are several other establishments with the name Lírio. But the one indicated by our columnist is the one inside Shopping Água Verde: Avenida Republica Argentina, 1983. Opening hours are from Monday to Sunday, from 11 am to 3 pm.

Quintana

Each day has the influence of a country and I love it. The food is made with love and care. The sustainability footprint, the garden, the team… it’s the restaurant I wanted next to my house.

Quintana is located on Avenida Batel and, in addition to award-winning cuisine, it has an open space to envy. So much so that it is on our list of places to eat outdoors in Curitiba.

The place has in its DNA respect for nature, earth, water, fire and air. Under the command of chef Gabriela Carvalho, the restaurant serves dishes with a sustainable footprint and regional cuisine. At lunch, the options are the free buffet or by the kilo.

Word that I was impressed when I was there for the first time. These are haute cuisine dishes, ranging from Shrimp au gratin to Cod with cream. Each day of the week has a themed menu, from Arabic to Italian, from Brazilian North to Brazilian South.

Lunch is served daily, from 11am to 3pm, with always changing dishes. Prices: BRL 69.90/kg for on-site consumption; BRL 59.90/kg to take home.

Chef Joy Perine shone for a long time as the chef responsible for the gastronomy of the Zea Maïs restaurant. She was one of the references of the best flavors in Curitiba and, at the time, she was among the starred chefs of Bom Gourmet.

He decided to set out on his own business and opened Enjoy Gastronomia, where he practices the same quality haute cuisine he was used to. Which entitles you, for example, to Duck Confit, Shrimp Bobó or Bacalhoada. Without leaving aside the Brazilian flavors, such as Feijoada, Dobradinha, Chicken with polta and Barreado.
