Failure in Ludmilla’s presentation generated some memes and criticism from internet users on the web
Singer Ludmilla, 28 years old, committed a real faux pas when she sang the national anthem at the Formula 1 Grand Prix (GP), which took place at the Autódromo de Interlagos, in São Paulo, on Sunday (5). At the opening of the anthem, the singer began with the verse: “They heard from Ipiranga the placid banks”, but the first verse was not completed as planned.
Ludmilla’s failed presentation generated some memes and criticism from internet users on the web.
“Guys, it was exciting. You see? Hamilton came in to talk to me! It was really fun! There was just a flaw in the sound at the beginning, but in the end, we got it right and killed it. It was great! Thank you to everyone who sent messages and supported us. It was beautiful”,
wrote Ludmilla in Instagram Stories.
In addition to Ludmilla, check out the other celebrities who have already made fun of themselves by singing the national anthem.
Carlinhos Brown
During a performance on Brazilian Day, in 2014, in New York, United States, singer Carlinhos Brown forgot the words to the national anthem. On that occasion, he asked the public for help twice to sing the anthem.
Fafá de Belém
In 2009, Fafá de Belém got the lyrics of the anthem wrong twice during a performance in Mato Grosso. When asked about what happened, the singer refused to comment and said: “I didn’t want to talk about it. This happens so many times. I’m not going to give details, fine. Vanusa would do that, I wouldn’t.”
Jair Bolsonaro
Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) got part of the lyrics of the anthem wrong during a recording in 2019. At the time, the politician changed the word “plácida” to “flacida”, and the sung section was “heard from Ipiranga, on the margins flaccid.”
Vanusa
How can we forget the late Vanusa, who in 2009 was invited to sing the national anthem at the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) and got the lyrics wrong. After the gaffe that went viral on social media, the singer said that the error was due to the use of medication to treat labyrinthitis, which she had taken before the event.
“I have a very serious labyrinthitis problem. And I was nervous, so I self-medicated. I took a tranquilizer, the medicine for labyrinthitis and went. And when I went up – it was a hill, I felt dizzy”, explained Vanusa in an interview with journalist Silvia Poppovic.
