Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have a robot helping you at work? What until recently seemed like a futuristic dream has become a reality with new artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

1. Creating content for the internet: it is possible to look for ideas for publications, subtitles or even ask the tool to assemble a schedule of posts for the profile of the company you work for.

2. Customer service. Example: Asking the tool to create standard responses to frequently asked questions from customers, says Mario Maffei, manager of the technology division at recruitment firm PageGroup.

• Maffei also points out that the recruitment area can ask ChatGPT for detailed descriptions of activities for job openings.

3. Translate or create texts in other languages.

4. Craft questions. Teachers can use the tool to create content for exams or assignments.

5. Software development. Develop a website for a specific area of ​​your business.

• How to apply? “Develop a page in the Java language with the following characteristics: blue background, three columns and that is dynamic”, suggests Luis Redda, director of engineering at Harness, a software development startup.

• “ChatGPT generates the code for this application. The developer can take this code and test it. Adjustments will certainly be necessary, but the great effort will be reduced”, he explains.

In all cases, two Tips are important:

1. Use examples when ordering. Why? ChatGPT can respond better when receiving analogies, says Paulo Silveira, CEO of Alura, technology learning ecosystem.

• He exemplifies: “If I were to write an article about the problems of AI in social networks, I would use a certain title. Now I’m writing an article about using ChatGPT at work, what suggestion do you have?”

2. Be specific when ordering: “ChatGPT is not an oracle that reads our thoughts. You need to put everything you are thinking. Formulate the request as if you were talking to an assistant or intern, and not to a robot that guesses thoughts”, says Silveira.

2. Also avoid providing customer or employee data.

• Sharing personal information may violate the guidelines of the LGPD (General Data Protection Law), reminds Rodrigo Azevedo, a lawyer specializing in intellectual property and digital law.

• “Making a copy and paste and delivering as a text of your authorship may violate copyright. There is no clarity about the bases that feed the generation of responses”, warns Azevedo.

Important: “There are still no specific norms or legislation dealing with the use of ChatGPT in the work environment, whether in a medical clinic or a law firm”, says Azevedo.

• Don’t forget that it’s important to master your area of ​​expertise and have autonomy.

• Why? It is essential to have your own opinion, critical spirit and ability to make decisions. Take care that the application does not become a solution for everything at work, explains Silveira.

• Then…“Before using, study the tool. Immersion in the technology can lead to this substitution of responsibility, what I call ‘lazy thinking’: we get so involved in the tool that we put aside our own attributions”, says Maffei.

Should I let my boss know I’m using ChatGPT? Yes. It is important to share the efficiency of the tool and how it is helping your work.

• “Since it is a new tool, not all companies are prepared or allow access to it. Due to its novelty, it can be strange. Therefore, transparency is valid”, says Maffei.

Professionals talk about how they use artificial intelligence in their day-to-day work.

How do you use ChatGPT at work?

Notices to employees. “I send the command as follows: write a booklet on sustainability for women or a communication about 5S. I try to detail as much as possible, including the desired number of paragraphs. Then, I read the generated suggestion and try to personalize it with my own point of view or my observations.”

Job interview question guide. “I like to ask questions that allow me to delve deeper into the candidate’s profile. For example, I recently conducted an interview where I needed to explore management and teamwork. I asked ChatGPT to come up with some questions related to these topics.”

Consult labor legislation. “There are a multitude of laws that govern the CLT [Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho] and, if you need to consult which law addresses a certain subject, ChatGPT can provide the corresponding article and a brief explanation about it.”

Care:

1) “I always ask for references from where he obtained that information, as this helps me in verification. This practice also gives me greater security.”

two) “I avoid copying and pasting, because if you pay a little attention, you can see that ChatGPT has a writing pattern.”

How do you use ChatGPT at work?

Email help. “I work a lot with inbound marketing [marketing de atração], which includes creating email cadences. I use ChatGPT both to help me structure this cadence and to review the emails I’m writing. Sometimes, when reviewing the same content repeatedly, some detail may go unnoticed, and this is where the tool helps me.”

1) “I avoid providing data. For example, when I ask for help with a proposal, I hide the company name and confidential information, taking into account LGPD regulations [Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados].”

two) “I always ask for references to the information generated by the tool. But, if it’s a topic about which I don’t have much knowledge or have doubts, I research it to see if it’s true or I talk to other people.”

How do you use ChatGPT at work?

Content planning. “I serve about eight clients a month. For each one, it is necessary to plan posts with specific objectives. So, I explain to ChatGPT that I work with social media, I have a client who works in a specific niche and I need to create a plan. He makes a generic model, which serves as a basis for ideas. Based on that, I develop my work.”

Presentation creation. “If I’m going to put together a class on web content creation, I ask ChatGPT to create a script based on that topic. In response, it gives me suggestions on how to approach the subject. I already have a lot of ideas and this tool helps me organize these ideas into a coherent line of reasoning.”

Care:

1) “I always ask for customer approval. Also, I always do research to confirm it’s correct.”
