Bloco das Piranhas will celebrate 43 years with a mega structure for Manaus revelers

Manaus (AM) — With irreverence, tradition and creativity, the traditional Bloco das Piranhas already has a date set to take place in Manaus: February 19th. More than 30,000 people are expected in one of the largest blocks in the capital of Amazonas, which this year takes place at the Sambódromo, in the Center-South Zone, starting at 4 pm.

Among the confirmed attractions are Wanessa Alzier, Banda Impakto, Banda Marrakesh, Dj Evandro Jr and Xiado da Xinela, Os Ambassadors and in the intervals Dj Layla Abreu.

After two years suspended due to the pandemic, the Bloco das Piranhas returns with a mega structure, which has an inclusive space for People with Disabilities (PwDs), adequate signage, security, food, medical care, exclusive areas and places with instagrammable decoration .

In 2023, Bloco — which has already consolidated among the Manaus public — celebrates 43 years of existence. One of the founders of the event, Marcos Botelho, emphasizes the organization’s care for the public’s enjoyment.

“Since its creation, the block has been conquering more public and more space. Our expectations are always positive and we are working to provide an environment where people can have fun safely and responsibly. This question is fundamental for us”,

Inclusion

The novelty of the edition is the setting up of a covered and inclusive space for People with Disabilities (PwDs) to also access the party and enjoy Carnival. The structure will have capacity for 2,000 players.

“The inclusion of revelers is also important to us. It is more than necessary to ensure that at Carnival, everyone, without distinction, has a chance to have fun and play”,

Solidarity

Entrance to the event will be voluntary. The reveler can take 1 kg of non-perishable food that after the party will be donated to charities.

In addition, those who prefer access to exclusive areas can purchase tickets for the VIP Area, costing R$40, or a closed cabin for 25 people, costing R$1,750.
