The specialist points out at the time of the interview it is essential that the candidate bears in mind that it is time for the company to get to know him in a more objective way

After being able to stand out in the screening of resumes, the moment of the job interview arrives, and even the most experienced professionals can feel butterflies in their stomach during this stage of the selection process. For career consultant Matheus Arcanjo, knowing what to say and how to behave can increase the chances of getting the job of your dreams.

He explains that it is fundamental for the candidate to keep in mind that the job interview is the moment the company has to get to know him in a more objective way, analyze his behavior and professional interests in a more direct way.

“The recruiter will identify your behavioral skills through strategic questions, in addition to knowing a little more about the person behind your resume and what they have to offer the organization”,

This week he was lecturing to final year students of technical courses at the Centro de Ensino Literatus. The action was an initiative of the Núcleo de EmpregueHabilidades, responsible for offering training, guidance and monitoring of students and graduates in planning their careers. Personalized behavioral counseling, events, lectures and workshops are among the sector’s main activities.

Leaving the house early, having a good night’s sleep, and rehearsing answers to those common interview questions can help the professional feel more comfortable and avoid nervousness.

According to Matheus Arcanjo, to stand out in the job interview, the professional needs to touch the company’s pain, showing himself as the solution to the problem. “Ideally, before the interview, the candidate should study the company and its greatest needs as much as possible”, he says.

Another orientation given by the career consultant is that during the interview the candidate should not speak ill of the company he previously worked for.

“Talk about your skills, successful experiences, and take the time to ask about the company’s processes and routines, this shows interest in being part of the organization”,

he said.
