This Tuesday (7), the companies Athletes Cannabis and MyGrazz announced that they won a lawsuit for moral damages against Facebook, in the amount of R$ 5 thousand. “They had their accounts suspended ten times last year”, says Fernando Pasternostro, one of the startups’ partners. “In none of them, Facebook clearly explained the reason. It claimed in a generic way that there was a violation of the rules.”
According to Pasternostro, many serious cannabis companies have problems with social accounts. “Often they are suspended, even if they are not advertising or advocating for drugs, which is prohibited by law.”
Cannabis Athlete is a project designed to bring knowledge about the benefits of therapeutic CBD oil (Cannabidiol, a substance derived from the plant with no psychoactive effect) to athletes. The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties are tools that help relieve the physical consequences, such as injuries, caused by the heavy training routine, common to athletes. Another project was born from this project, the MyGrazz platform, which provides physicians with experience in the subject and products.
