The Caixa Econômica Federal announced this Monday (20) that it will release the withdrawal by calamity of the Severance Guarantee Fund (FGTS) to the population of the six municipalities of the coast of SP affected by the rains of the last weekend. Residents of the following cities will benefit: Guarujá Bertioga Caraguatatuba Ilhabela Ubatuba São Sebastião months. The maximum withdrawal amount is R＄ 6,220.00. The withdrawal request will be made through the FGTS application, but the option is not yet available. Caixa awaits the finalization of the qualification of the municipalities, which still need to send some documents so that the loot can then be made available to the population. “The bank is assisting the local authorities in order to speed up the request for authorization to release the values ​​to workers residing in the affected areas”, informed Caixa, in a note. As soon as the option is available, the population will be able to request the withdrawal in the FGTS application, without the need to go to an agency. In the application, the person indicates which account he wants to receive the amounts. The FGTS calamity withdrawal is a modality in which the worker is entitled to withdraw the balance of the FGTS account for personal, urgent and serious needs resulting from a natural disaster that has hit his/her area of ​​residence. For this, the resident’s municipality of residence must be in a state of public calamity or emergency situation, duly recognized by federal government ordinance.
