Caixa announces new measures for victims of rain in SP – 02/23/2023 – Panel SA

Caixa Econômica Federal announced this Thursday (23) a set of measures to help those affected by the rains on the coast of São Paulo with early release of the Brazil Aid, lines of credit and special conditions for payment of housing contracts.

The bank also decided to take a break in benefits and a six-month grace period on loans to SUS affiliated hospitals in the region.

In the cities of Bertioga, Caraguatatuba, Guarujá, Ilhabela, São Sebastião and Ubatuba, the bank branches will open at 9:00 am from this Friday (24).

According to the federal bank, in credit lines for individuals, customers will have an increase in terms, review of rates and the possibility of a grace period in payroll loans. There will also be an exemption from charging a basket of services for three months and the CDC (Crédito Direto Caixa) with a grace period of up to 60 days and up to 60 months for amortization.

Corporate clients will have a grace period of up to one year in working capital lines and a break of up to three months for the payment of contracts, among other measures.

Despite the anticipation of payments of the Aid Brazil, the money will only be released on March 20. According to a statement, all those registered in the program will receive it on the same day, regardless of the end of the NIS.
