The event was the closing of the series that precede the Folk Festival of Parintins in the capital

Manaus (AM) – As happened at the opening of the Ensaios dos Bumbás season, on March 25, Caprichoso and Garantido shared the space at the Manaus Convention Center, the Sambódromo, at the end of the series of events that precede the Parintins Folk Festival in the capital, this Saturday (24).

The fans of the two bumbás showed determination and love for the oxen of Parintins, once again filling the space that receives the preparatory parties for the annual clash in the Bumbódromo arena.

On stage, Anderson Figueiredo, Júlio Persil, Luiz Carlos, Arlindo Neto, Klinger Júnior and Canto da Mata represented Caprichoso. For Garantido, PA Chaves, Luciano Araújo, Felipe Júnior, Leonardo Castelo and David Assayag performed.

For the Movimento Marujada and the Movimento Amigos do Garantido, responsible for carrying out the rehearsals in Manaus, the season was a success, representing a return to the culture of the ox-bumbá in the capital.

“The whole season has been really good. The public attended, they were present here at the Bares do Boi that we created, all very crowded from the first one, on March 25th, until today, when we are ending the rehearsal season. We did good shows too. The stage responded. So the public answered our call.”

said Rogério Jesus, Roca, president of the Marujada Movement and coordinator of the Marujada de Guerra in Manaus.

The president of the Amigos do Garantido Movement, Cláudia Santos, thanked the support of the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, without which, according to her, carrying out the Bumbás Ensaios would not be possible.

“First of all, I would like to thank Governor Wilson Lima, Secretary Marcos Apolo and Secretary Cândido Jeremias for this partnership at the Sambódromo. This encourages the culture of the two oxen. It is a rescue that we are carrying out, both Garantio and Caprichoso, of this culture. We just have to thank. If it weren’t for the State Government and the Secretariat of Culture, we wouldn’t be able to hold this event”

said Claudia.

The rescue that the president of the Amigos do Garantido Movement talks about materializes in the rebirth of the Movimentos Dance Group, which accompanied the Caprichoso rehearsals in the capital until 2010 and resurfaced in the 2023 season, taking its components now “forties” to the stage of the Sambódromo, in a rescue of the tunes of the 90s.

Between veterans and neophytes in boi-bumbá, the audience at the Sambódromo was also divided between the lucky fans who go to Parintins to follow the festival and those who regret not having the opportunity to go this year.

The couple Ramile Vieira and Daniel Reis, fans of Garantido, are among the fans who go to the Island to experience the magic of the festival. “I started coming to rehearsals this year and I really enjoyed it. It’s a party I’ll definitely be following steadily every year. The two of us are going to Parintins on Thursday (29) by speedboat”said Ramile, who will also debut at the Parintins Folk Festival.

“It is only my second time at the corral, but I have already been to Parintins three times”, said Daniel. “We are guaranteed and we will be there, giving that strength to be champions this time”he said.

Andreia Ribeiro and Alexandre Almeida, fans of Caprichoso, will not go to Parintins in 2023. Even so, they insisted on attending the end of the season in Manaus.

“I came at the opening and now I’m at the close of the season. I also went to Planeta Boi. Unfortunately, due to work, I will not be going to Parintins this year”

lamented Andreia.

“I came to almost all Bares do Boi this year. I missed only one. I thought it was better than all the other years. Unfortunately, also because of work, I will not be able to go to Parintins this year”

said Alexander.

To increase the atmosphere of vigor and emotion of the night, a power cut in the Sambódromo led the fans of both bumbás to sing at the top of their lungs in the last performances of the night, increasing the beauty of the passion that the fans have for Caprichoso and Garantido .
