Buffett says Apple is the best deal in Berkshire’s portfolio – 5/8/2023 – Market
[ad_1]
Investor Warren Buffett said on Saturday that Apple is a better deal than any other in Berkshire Hathaway’s portfolio.
“Apple is different from other businesses we own. It just happens to be a better business,” he said during the company’s annual meeting.
Berkshire revealed a $1 billion stake in Apple in May 2016, and in March 2023 increased that stake to $151 billion (R$755 billion), accounting for 46% of its stock portfolio of US$ 328 billion (R$ 1.6 trillion).
Buffett has long praised Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook and sees the company more as a consumer products company with a dominant product, the iPhone, that people want and need.
Berkshire recently had a 5.6% stake in Apple, and Buffett has said he may buy more.
