Patrícia Guerra, 48, from São Paulo, won the Tiramisu World Cup held in Treviso (500 km from Rome), Italy, between October 5th and 8th. She was best in the original recipe category.
According to the rules of the competition, aimed at non-professional cooks, the traditional recipe for the Italian dessert could only include Savoiardi Vicenzovo biscuits by Matilde Vicenzi, cold coffee, mascarpone, cocoa and sugar. All ingredients were provided by the organization.
The stages are similar to the football World Cup. There is a group stage, semi-final and final. To score, each competitor submitted their dessert to a panel of judges who evaluated, from 1 to 10, technical execution, balance, aesthetic presentation, intensity, flavor and harmony.
In the Brazilian category, she was the best. “It was a huge mix of emotions, I’m still emotional, but I couldn’t help but thank everyone who has followed this journey so far,” said Guerra on a social network.
In 2023, the São Paulo native, who works as an inspector for the State of São Paulo and is a gastronomy student, had already won the national version of the competition. She maintains an Instagram profile where she shares tips about the dessert that made her famous.
