Next year, Brazil will host the annual conference of the ICN (International Competition Network), the forum that brings together antitrust agencies from all over the world.
The country was chosen this Wednesday (18) at a meeting of the entity’s steering group.
In addition to the Brazilian Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense), the Competition Bureau (from Canada) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), an American consumer protection body, are also members of the ICN.
The dispute to host the conference was with the CMA (Competition and Markets Authority), market regulator in the United Kingdom, which is also part of the forum.
