Manaus will be the first of the seven cities to receive the book launch tour by Marilza Foucher
Based in Paris for more than 40 years, journalist and economist from Amazonas, Marilza de Melo Foucher, will launch in Manaus, the book of memories, entitled Fragmentos de Tempos Vivid, next Tuesday (7). The event will take place from 6:30 pm at the Instituto Geográfico Histórico do Amazonas, Museu Crisantho Jobim, located at Rua Bernardo Ramos, Centro.
The book has more than thirty short chronicles, filled with memories, personal aspects and experiences that emerged without censorship, of a Brazilian northerner living in the ‘City of Lights. The work does not have a chronological order, but begins with his arrival in Paris, in the late 1970s, to do a doctorate in Economics.
For Rosa Freire Furtado, journalist, translator of the great classics of French literature and writer, the reports look delicious. “Marilza describes, in a 220-page and very well-written book, her adventures, which were not few, and include cemeteries and police stations”, she said.
Another strong criticism was that of Marilene Corrêa, sociologist, professor at Ufam and author of O Paiz do Amazonas and Metamorfoses da Amazônia, who highlighted the delicacy of the writer’s adventures. “I recommend Marilza’s adventures from maturity to childhood. Precise cuts, stimulating subtitles, clear and uncensored self-understanding. Rich literary and narrative context. Historical records with lightness, as well as the self-assessment of militancy, sensitive, direct. Connections of characters and another one of the intellectuals of Paris ”, she analyzes.
Paulo Lima, journalist and editor of Balaio de Notícias magazine, says that the book is composed of memorial chronicles. “The first half is dedicated to his arrival and adaptation in Paris, where he has lived for over 40 years, got married and started a family. In the other half, Marilza returns to her origins in Acre and to work trips around the world. Marilza, however, immersed herself in this new life with intensity, carrying out her own revolution, which she recalls with enthusiasm ”, he explains.
Sebastião Valesco e Cruz, who is a sociologist, political scientist, writer, CNPq 1 A researcher and professor of Political Sciences at Unicamp, completes the list of Marilza’s readers. “The initial impression was strongly confirmed: the stories are delicious and are very well told”, full.
