Bom Gourmet Festival closes in Curitiba and Porto Alegre

The Bom Gourmet Festival ended this Sunday (26). Event that is considered the biggest gastronomy festival in the South of Brazil and that happened simultaneously in two capitals: Curitiba (PR) and Porto Alegre (RS).

From the 3rd to the 26th of March, consumers could check out complete menus, with a starter, main course and dessert, for more affordable prices, with three price ranges in Curitiba: R$ 69.90, R$ 89.90 and BRL 109.90. In Porto Alegre, the Festival included two price ranges: R$69.90 and R$89.90. During the Festival’s gastronomic calendar, 79 restaurants in the capital of Paraná participated, while in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul there were 15 houses.

During the three weeks of the event, the menus were offered for lunch and dinner, depending on the opening hours of each establishment. With restaurants specializing in cuisines from different parts of the world, such as Iberian, Asian, European cuisine, in addition to Brazilian, vegetarian and vegan food, the Festival covered options that please all palates.

Furthermore, it provided gastronomy lovers with a true gastronomic experience and restaurants with the opportunity to attract new customers. Characteristics that make the event a two-way street that benefits everyone involved, as comments Caroline Olinda, head of Bom Gourmet.

“The Bom Gourmet Festival is a very happy project, because it is a win-win project. Customers who manage to access restaurants, visit new places and explore the rich gastronomy of Curitiba win. And the restaurants that manage to conquer new customers or even within their clientele manage to present them with new flavors and new possibilities win”.

The head also highlights the importance of the Festival in contributing to the growth of the local gastronomy segment. “It gives visibility to these restaurants and to customers as well, because it is something that has already entered the city’s calendar. A lot of people wait, program themselves and take advantage of these weeks of the Bom Gourmet Festival that moves the city’s gastronomy a lot”, he concludes.

Being a win-win for everyone involved, the Bom Gourmet Festival brings several positive results for those who are part of this initiative. Proof of this are the various establishments that recurrently participate in the event, such as Cantina do Délio (Batel and Itupava), a restaurant that has already been part of other editions of the Festival, in Curitiba.

“It’s wonderful. I never put all my eggs in just one Friday, so there are many reasons for the restaurant to be full and the Festival Bom Gourmet is certainly one of them”, comments Délio Canabrava, owner and chef of the restaurant.

With each edition, the number of houses participating in the Festival grows. In this edition, there were almost 80 establishments in Curitiba, and among the participants were veteran houses, which have been participating in the event for years, as well as new restaurants, as is the case in Malauí. The founding partner, Cristiane Bortoluzzi Krefer, comments on the good results that the event brought to the establishment.

“We are enjoying the experience of being at the Bom Gourmet Festival very much. For Malawi it has been very good. We are very happy with the acceptance of the menu”, he concludes.
