Bolsa Família 2023: see calendar and who will receive more – 06/19/2023 – Market

Bolsa Família starts paying, as of this month, an extra amount to families with children aged between seven and 18 who are in school or have pregnant or breastfeeding women. R$ 50 more will be released per child, pregnant or lactating, in addition to the monthly minimum R$ 600 paid to those who are part of the program.

The extra amount begins to be distributed from Monday (19), when the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger starts the calendar of deposits for the month of June. The money is paid as per the end of the NIS (Social Identification Number). Since March, families with children up to six years old receive R$ 150 more.

With the extra payment, the average value of the benefit in June rises to R$ 705.40, according to the ministry, the highest ever paid on Bolsa Família. In May, participating families received an average of R$672.45. This month, 21.2 million families will be covered, with a total payment of R$ 14.97 billion.

About 9.8 million families will receive more resources in June than in May. At the same time, the government conducts a cadastral review of benefits with suspected irregularities. In the sights are single-person families, formed by a single person, who were discharged in the last half of 2022.

This month, part of the beneficiaries also receive the Gas Aid, a benefit paid every two months since December 2021. The amount varies according to an average of the gas cylinder made by the ANP (National Agency of Gas, Petroleum and Biofuels) in the last six months and is at R$ 107.96. With the fall in the price of gas, the gas voucher may be lower than in April.

June payments begin on the 19th and go until the 30th. The release of amounts is made according to the final NIS number. Every month, amounts are made available for withdrawal or credit to a bank account in the sequence from 1 to zero, in the last ten working days of each month. The exception is December, when payments occur until the 22nd.

MP that recreates program was approved earlier this month

With the failures of the Lula government to articulate in Congress, the provisional measure that recreated Bolsa Família to replace Auxílio Brasil was approved in the Senate on June 2, the deadline for the measure not to expire and lose its validity.

As an alternative, in case Congress did not approve the new rules, the government even envisaged a decree to guarantee the payment of Bolsa Família and Auxílio Gás in June, a measure that was not necessary.

The approved text foresees five types of benefits. The family receives R$ 142 for each member for the Income and Citizenship Benefit. If the sum does not reach the minimum R$ 600, a complement is paid, which is the Complementary Benefit. The BRL 600 was instituted in Auxílio Brasil, in an election year, but was valid only until December 2022. The recreation of Bolsa Família changed this rule, guaranteeing the BRL 600 permanently.

The Early Childhood Benefit and the Variable Family Benefit guarantee BRL 150 per child up to six years old, and BRL 50 per child between seven and 18 years old who are in school and per pregnant and lactating mother.

A transition rule is also foreseen for families that already received the Auxílio Brasil, if the previous amount is less than that of the new program. There will be a specific regulation to fix the time for receiving this installment.

How much money can you receive in Bolsa Familia?

The federal government pays:

• BRL 600 per family
• BRL 150 per child up to six years old
• BRL 50 per child and teenager between seven and 18 years old
• $50 for pregnant women

3 – FAMILY WITH TWO MEMBERS

A mother head of the family, who is pregnant, plus a two-year-old son. Will be paid:

• Price per family: BRL 600
• Pregnant mother: R$ 50
• Two-year-old child: BRL 150
• Total: BRL 800

Who is entitled to Bolsa Família

Bolsa Família is paid to families that are part of the CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government), with a monthly income per family member of up to R$ 218.
