Bolsa Família 2023 Calendar: see April dates – 04/13/2023 – Market

The Bolsa Familia for April will begin to be paid from this Friday (14). At least 20 million Brazilian families should receive the benefit. In March, 21.19 million families received R$ 14 billion.

The minimum amount to be paid is R$600. Families with children up to six years old at school receive an extra R$150 for each child. In June, additional fees begin to be paid for children between the ages of seven and 18 who are in school and for pregnant women.

This month, 1.2 million benefits for single-person families —composed of just one person— were blocked by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger. The objective is to fight irregularities after an explosion of records of people living alone in the second half of 2022.

To recover the amounts, beneficiaries must prove that they actually live alone and are entitled to the benefit. The deadline is 60 days to re-register in CadÚnico. Otherwise, starting in July, Bolsa Família will be cancelled.

The new Bolsa Família was relaunched by the federal government in March, replacing the Auxílio Brasil. A hallmark of PT management, the program was resumed with an average payment of R$ 670 per family, an amount that should reach R$ 714.

When will Bolsa Família be paid in April?

April payments begin on the 14th and go until the 28th. The release is made according to the final number of the NIS (Social Identification Number). Beneficiaries with final NIS 1 are received first, and so on, until reaching zero.

Every month, amounts are made available for withdrawal or credit to a bank account in the sequence from 1 to zero, in the last ten working days of each month. The exception is December, payments occur until the 22nd.

How to pay?

The amount of the benefit is paid at bank branches, lottery shops, ATMs and Caixa Aqui correspondents. For those who receive through Caixa Tem there will be no changes.

What were the changes in Bolsa Família?

In addition to the additional ones, another change is that the minimum monthly income per person (per capita) to be part of the program (called the poverty line) rose to R$ 218, R$ 8 more than it was in 2022.

Ordinance published last Friday (17) made the measure official and brought new rules for the validity of the benefit, which is now in force for 24 months (two months). The Auxílio Brasil determined the payment for 12 to 24 months (one to two years).

Another change was the limit of family income to be entitled to the benefit. Now, it becomes half the monthly minimum wage (R$651 today, but should rise to R$660 with the minimum wage readjustment promised for May). Previously, the maximum was R$525 (two and a half times the poverty line, which was R$210).

How much can you earn in the new Bolsa Familia?

Since March, the federal government has paid an additional R$150 per child up to six years of age who is in school. With this, families in this profile will receive at least R$ 750. For those who have a child aged between seven and 18 in school or are pregnant, there will be an additional R$ 150.

1 – FAMILY WITH 5 MEMBERS

A man, a pregnant woman, an eight-year-old son, a five-year-old son and a two-year-old son. Will be paid:

• Price per family: BRL 600
• Pregnant mother: R$ 50
• Eight-year-old child: BRL 50
• Five-year-old child: BRL 150
• Two-year-old child: BRL 150
• Total: BRL 1,000

2 – FAMILY WITH FOUR MEMBERS

A mother head of household with three children aged 11, four and three. Will be paid:

• Price per family: BRL 600
• 11 year old son: 50
• Four-year-old child: BRL 150
• Three-year-old child: BRL 150
• Total: BRL 950

3 – FAMILY WITH TWO MEMBERS

A mother head of the family, who is pregnant, plus a two-year-old son. Will be paid:

• Price per family: BRL 600
• Pregnant mother: R$ 50
• Two-year-old child: BRL 150
• Total: BRL 800

Who is entitled to the new Bolsa Família?

Families with family income per person of up to R$ 218 registered in the Single Registry or with family income of up to half a minimum wage.

How is the benefit calculated?

There will be a basic benefit per person. Each member of the family will receive R$ 142 per month. There is also a guarantee of a minimum payment of BRL 600 per family, that is, if the sum of benefits is not enough, the government will transfer a supplementary amount to ensure this floor.

The program’s new format also provides for an additional R$150 per child from zero to six years old, and another R$50 for children and adolescents between 7 and 18 years of age, as well as for pregnant women.

The government calculates that the average benefit will be around BRL 714 per family — more than the BRL 606.91 paid by the former Auxílio Brasil.

How much did the Lula government set aside to pay for Bolsa Família?

The government has R$ 175 billion secured in 2023 for the program. Internal government estimates indicate that actual spending should be between R$168 billion and R$175 billion.

How many people will receive the benefit?

The government should serve 20 million families this month. In the year, the forecast is 20.8 million families monthly. The reduction is explained by the exclusion of families that received the Brazil Aid irregularly. Even so, there will be the inclusion of around 700,000 families that are currently not covered.

When will all the benefits linked to the new Bolsa Família be paid?

In March, April and May, the government pays the benefits plus an additional R$150 per child from zero to six years old. The full reformulation of the program will only take place in June 2023.

RULES FOR RECEIVING THE NEW BOLSA FAMÍLIA
