Manaus (AM) – Over two days, on Friday and Saturday, December 1st and 2nd, “Boi Manaus 2023”, held by the city hall, will bring together artists such as Arlindo Neto, Márcia Siqueira, PA Chaves, Márcia Novo, the master of Boi Garantido, João Paulo, Canto da Mata and the marujada de Guerra, in addition to the presentation of the Corre-Campo and Boi Garanhão cattle, at the Professor Gilberto Mestrinho convention center, the sambadrome, located in the Dom Pedro neighborhood, west of the capital.
The traditional festival, which takes place annually as part of Manaus’ anniversary program in October, had to be postponed this year due to the smoke that covered the city during the period.
“It is an event awaited all year round, not only for the players and artists, but for the population of Manaus who loves the rhythm of ‘two here, two here’“,
commented the director-president of the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), Osvaldo Cardoso, responsible for organizing Boi Manaus.
Due to the change, this year, there will be no “Feirinha do Tururi”, which precedes Boi Manaus. However, there will be a food court and crafts fair inside the sambadrome.
On the first night, the program begins with the presentation of artists Wanderson Rodrigues and Nenê do Boi, followed by Alciro Neto and the group Kamaiurá, then Felipe Júnior and Jardel Bentes, Kabocos and César Pinheiro, Boi Garanhão, among others, and ends with Carlos Batata , Robson Júnior and Kuarup group.
On the second night, the population will be able to enjoy themselves to the sounds of Denis Martins and Luciano Araújo, Ianayra, a performance by Boi Corre-Campo, Prince do Boi and Patrick Araújo, Márcia Siqueira and Márcia Novo, as well as Sebastião Júnior and Israel Paulain.
