Boi Caprichoso enters the final stage of work and promises surprises in the arena

With 6 days left for the party, the ox from the star has 95% of work completed

Boi-Bumbá Caprichoso is in the final stretch of work for the 56th Parintins Festival. At the main cattle shed, located in the Palmares neighborhood, preparations are in full swing. The floats are getting the finishing touches, including surprises that will only be revealed during arena performances. This is the affirmation of the artistic director, Edwan Oliveira.

“The Brado do Povo Guerreiro project has been developed since August last year, with planning and creation. Currently, we have 95% of the project completed, in the finishing phase. We are quite confident in everything we create. The blue and white nation can be sure that everything we think has a single goal: to provide a great show, surprise the public and convince the judges that we deserve the second championship”

said Edward.

Innovation is the watchword at Caprichoso. And that’s exactly what the brothers and artists Paulo and Adenilson Pimentel promise to do. The duo was in charge of creating the typical regional figure for one of the festival’s nights. This will be the first time they will perform an allegory evaluated by the judges.

“We are responsible for opening the festival and, this year, we were awarded by the board of Caprichoso and by the Art Council with the task of creating a typical regional figure. Here, work is intense and daily. It involves the projection of a metallic structure for the allegory, cladding, painting and props. In addition, we are also focused on figure execution, articulation, movement and effects so that everything takes place in the arena”

said Paul.

With a job that started 3 months ago, the brothers also have great expectations for the three nights of the party.

“We are on the countdown and we are trying to calm down, but, in fact, the expectation only increases. This duo, this union between two brothers, it worked, and we will do a great job “

The show “The Cry of the Warrior People” promises to take to the arena the song that echoes from indigenous peoples, cultural heritage, resistance, in addition to the fight for equality and the preservation of natural wealth.

The festival will be held on June 30th, July 1st and 2nd, at Bumbódromo.
