The employees’ demonstration has gained support from BC directors and department heads, who have been publicly manifesting themselves in a coordinated action.

Fernando Rocha, head of the BC’s Statistics department, has spoken on more than one occasion about the “true dismantling” of the institution in recent years, arguing that the staff is “getting dangerously close to its limit”.
