The 62-year-old actress and Brenno, 34, have been together since 2014. The courtship soon turned into marriage and the two have shared the same roof for just over six years. The relationship is discreet and posts of the two together are rare. One of the exceptions was on his last birthday, in June last year, when Maria declared herself publicly.

Brenno Meneghel teaches surfing in Rio, is a scuba diver and practices other sports such as kickboxing and hang gliding. He also works in technology and as a photographer.
