The rapporteurs of the fiscal framework in the Senate, Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), and in the Chamber of Deputies, Claudio Cajado (PP-BA), will meet this Tuesday morning (21st) to discuss the final adjustments to the opinion of the text. The meeting must take place before the presentation at the Economic Affairs Committee (CAE).
Aziz has already signaled that he should remove the Basic Education Maintenance and Development Fund (Fundeb) and the Constitutional Fund of the Federal District from the limit of the fiscal rule. With that, the rapporteur in the Senate seeks an agreement with the deputies, as changes in the texts would cause the return of the matter to the Chamber.
If the Houses reach an agreement, the expectation is that the new fiscal framework can be voted by the Senate plenary on Wednesday (21). Approved by the Chamber of Deputies, the complementary bill still depends on the approval of the Economic Affairs Commission (CAE), but it has already been included in the agenda of this Wednesday’s deliberative session, reported the Senate Agency.
