ASU Restaurante innovates in the gastronomic circuit with signature cuisine

The ASU restaurant, commanded by chef Danilo Tagikawa, is one of the great highlights in Curitiba’s gastronomic circle. The idea of ​​the establishment is to present a lean menu, with small dishes to share, so that customers can try several options in a single visit. Tagikawa has already shared the kitchen with award-winning chef Manu Buffara, and has worked with Virgílio Martínez, from the Peruvian restaurant Central, voted second best restaurant in the world and best restaurant in Latin America in 2022.

In the “Essence” menu, options are presented to la carte: there are seven starters (bread, shrimp, cabbage, tuna, shellfish, octopus and pork); three main dishes, ribs with pumpkin, herbs and glace (R$105), shrimp served with tomato, rice and radish (R$125) and Fish of the Day, with cauliflower, broccoli and bisque (R$ 95); as well as two dessert options, one with chocolate as the main star and the other with mango. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays there is also the option of a full dinner, with starter, main course and dessert, for R$120 or R$150 with wine pairing.

The highlight, however, is the tasting menu. Called “Do you trust us?”, it has eight dishes: Oyster, Chicken, Raw Meat, Bamboo, Bokchoy, Fish, Overpalette and Melon. Options may change according to the season. The price is R$295 per person, and with an addition of R$230, the menu gains a special pairing for each stage.

ASU has a list of red, green and white wines, as well as craft beers from brands such as Way Beer and Morada Maniacs and a drinks bar with classics and original creations. “ASU’s focus is to offer a unique and complete experience that positively surprises all our customers. For this reason, every detail of this project was developed with great attention and excellence, from the dishes that come out of our kitchen to the drinks that will harmonize with each preparation, making the night even more incredible”, explains chef Danilo Tagikawa.
