Manaus (AM) – Guest artists from the XII Encontro de Tenores do Brasil, which takes place at Teatro Amazonas, on the 25th (World Opera Day), bringing together great national and international names in classical singing, reveal what they are preparing for the big moment. And, above all, they talk about the great emotion and responsibility it is for them to show their qualities and talents in such a special event. The Tenores do Brasil Meeting is an event created by Amazonian tenor Miqueias William.

On the one hand, already with the expertise of having participated in the X edition of the Encontro de Tenores and having extensive experience on the stage where he will perform and where he has been performing since 2018, is the soloist of the Coro Estável do Teatro Amazonas, Wilken Silveira from Pará. . On the other hand, the debutant on Amazonian stages and also at the Encontro, Allan Faria from São Paulo.

For both, performing at the “stupendous Teatro Amazonas” is a unique and exciting opportunity. “It is a huge honor to be in one of the temples of opera in Brazil”, highlights Allan Faria. They consider the Tenor Meeting a unique opportunity for professionals and the public.
“The Tenors Meeting is an unprecedented event in Brazil, it has aroused the public’s interest with each edition and has become a showcase that brings together different timbres for a great party”, says Wilken Silveira.

“It is one of the most important events for us singers, whether it is creating new audiences or exchanging experiences between professionals who are working in their careers. It is also a unique opportunity for the public to appreciate the most excellent tenors in our country”,

says Allan Faria.

Both also reveal that they intend to present the best to the public and are preparing their individual and collective performances with great care. “I’m preparing two beautiful arias, by two different composers, one Italian, the other German, but both characters in love”, says Silveira. “My expectation is to always offer the best to the public, moving them through singing and art,” she says.

“I will perform solos from two of the most important operas in history – No, Pagliaccio non son – from the opera I Pagliacci by Leoncavallo and Lucevan le Stelle, from the opera Tosca, by Giacomo Puccini, as well as hits such as Nessun Dorma, O Sole Mio and others joint performances”,

The two tenors have many overlapping histories. “Music has always been my biggest passion. I have been singing since I was 4 years old, I have won several awards in gospel and lyrical singing competitions, however, my career began as an instrumentalist. But where I really found myself was in the corner. It was what brought me and still brings me, to this day, the greatest joy, reward and pleasure that a human being needs and can have”, says Silveira.

Currently, in addition to being part of the Amazonas Theater Stable Choir, he is a singing teacher and will soon win another title, a degree (Speech Therapy), which will add and physiologically add to his current profession.

Faria also started music as a boy and soon fell in love with classical singing, beginning his studies in São Paulo with Helly Anne Caran. He specialized in classical singing at the Accademia Della Voce del Piemonte, in Turin (Italy).

He participated in several operas and concerts in Brazil and in countries such as Italy, Germany, Scotland, the United States and Canada. He performs as a soloist in operas, oratorios and operas, as Spinto tenor.
