Artistic Bodies of Amazonas take presentations to public schools

Programming includes shows by the Folkloric Ballet of Amazonas, Corpo de Dança and Vocal Group
Manaus (AM) – Closing the month’s agenda, the Corpos Artísticos do Amazonas continue with special presentations in some public schools in the state this week. In addition, the Amazonas Guitar Orchestra will perform on Wednesday (7/19), at Teatro Gebes Medeiros, at 7 pm. Entry is free.
According to the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy, Marcos Apolo Muniz, the participation of artistic bodies in the state is very important for cultural diffusion, as well as bringing the public closer to fine arts. “The artistic bodies continue the work of encouraging culture and the arts, interacting with the public and forming an audience”,
highlights the secretary.
On Wednesday (07/19), the Folkloric Ballet of Amazonas presents the show “Folguedos”, at the Osmar Pedrosa State School, at 10am. The presentation pays homage to the Amazonas Folk Festival, recalling moments from the 50s and 60s, when the Festival took place in Campo General Osório, where the Colégio Militar de Manaus is located today.
On Thursday (20/07), the Grupo Vocal dos Corpos Artísticos presents “Coros de Ópera” for the students of the Barão do Rio Branco State School, at 4:30 pm. The concert is a collection of choral music in operas, containing from the great opera choirs, such as “Va pensiero”, from the opera “Nabucco”, by Verdi; to Mozart’s operas, “Don Giovanni” and “Don Pasquale”.
Also on Thursday (20/07), the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas takes the great show “Rios Voadores” to the State School Prof. Samuel Benchimol. In a reduced version, choreographer Rosa Antuña seeks to bring to the scene the importance of preserving the environment as a crucial point for the balance of the planet.
