The schools are the first arts schools in the North region, managed by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy (SEC)
According to the approved academic, Júlia Rebouças, talks about her professional dream for the future. “Liceu opened my mind to choose to study something I love and made me think about being a dance teacher,” she said.
In addition to Júlia, 16 other students from the Liceu felt the emotion of seeing their names on the list of approved candidates for the state university entrance exam. The group was well evaluated in the theoretical and practical tests and obtained vacancies in the institution, in the Music, Dance and Theater courses.
The secretary of culture, Marcos Apolo Muniz, emphasizes the importance of the Lyceum in providing young people with opportunities, awakening interest in art and contributing to the personal and professional development of students.
“When we make free courses available through the Liceu, we are investing in the future of many young people, who come into contact with art and plan to pursue the profession. It is gratifying that the State Government acts in the training and personal and professional development of these young people, now university students”, he evaluates.
For Liceu director Davi Nunes, students reveal their skills and abilities in courses and the artistic core supports and encourages students’ technical training to ensure greater professional reach.
“The Liceu plays a fundamental role for people who intend to pursue an artistic career in dance, music, theater and visual arts. When we have students who dedicate themselves, they are observed and the Lyceum offers technical preparation for university”, concludes Davi.
