Arena da Amazônia receives “Cooperate Day” with more than 60 free services

Manaus (AM) – More than 60 free services will be offered to the population of Manaus, on the Dia de Cooperar, better known as Day C, which will take place next Saturday, July 1st, from 8am to 12pm, at Arena Amazônia, located on Avenida Constantino Nery, Flores neighborhood.

The event is a charitable action that will bring together cooperatives from across the country to promote the common good, solidarity and sustainable development, strengthening the commitment to cooperativism.

The services and activities that will be offered are: referral to job vacancies, guidance on digital work portfolio, guidance on accessing unemployment insurance, financial clinic assistance, donation of plant seedlings, rapid Covid-19 test, screening for assistance medical, gynecological and obstetric care, mastologist care, physiotherapy care, manual therapies, nutritional guidance, psychology care, drug prevention actions, oral health guidance, distribution of eyeglasses, guidance against dengue, tuberculosis and flu, rapid tests (HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B and C), issue of SUS card, popular pharmacy, vaccination against Influenza and Covid-19, health care in general practitioner, anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats, care for neutering pets, ultrasound abdomen and thyroid, blood pressure measurement, blood glucose test, prophylaxis dental service, distribution of oral hygiene kits, among others.

For children there will be a kids space, children’s painting, collection of children’s books, dental care, children’s financial education, pediatric medical care and others. Services related to care and well-being will be offered: meditation, eyebrow design, nail polishing, psychological care, facial cleaning, relaxing massage, care for homeless people, handicraft workshop, social assistance, classes to teach cycling, cultural presentations, concerts, among others.

Dia de Cooperar is a national initiative created in 2009, which involves cooperatives in the seven branches (Agriculture, Consumption, Credit, Infrastructure, Health, Work, Production of Goods and Services, and Transport), through the voluntary work of its employees. and associates, carrying out actions that benefit the community and transform lives.

Last year, more than 2.2 million people benefited from transformative initiatives that took place in 1,643 cities, from North to South of the country. Approximately 99,000 volunteers committed themselves to being part of this movement. In Amazonas, 5,664 people benefited from 51 actions developed by 17 partner institutions and 598 volunteers.

This year, the theme of “C Day” is “Cooperatives for Sustainable Development”, as defined by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA). The cooperatives will be focused on projects and actions that promote sustainable practices, such as environmental conservation, the conscious use of natural resources, education and the reduction of environmental impact.

“C Day strengthens ties between cooperatives and their communities, in addition to inspiring other organizations to adopt solidary practices. That’s why we have several partners.”
