Millions of Brazilians are already looking forward to the Mega da Virada draw, which this year will pay out R$570 million, the biggest prize in history. The result comes out this Sunday (31), starting at 8pm.

The lucky person who takes home the jackpot will have to redeem the amount at a Caixa Econômica Federal branch carrying a personal document with photo, CPF and the steering wheel of the winning ticket.

For prizes above R$10,000, the institution stipulates a minimum period of two business days for payment to the winner, counting from the date of the request at the agency.

If the bet was placed online (website, internet banking or app), the prize will be linked to the CPF registered in the account. Only the holder can make the redemption.

Caixa informs that the winner has up to 90 calendar days to claim the prize. After the deadline, the amount is transferred to the Student Financing Fund (FIES).

Mega da Virada, unlike other contests, does not accumulate. If no one matches the six numbers, the money will be divided among the bettors who match five numbers, and so on.

Bets can be placed until 5pm on the 31st. To participate in the draw, bettors can place the game at any lottery outlet, or through the Loterias Caixa app or through the Caixa lottery website. The minimum bet costs R$5.
