Anvisa orders to collect hair pomades from 5 companies – 02/14/2023 – Health

Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) determined today the collection of more ointments for styling and braiding hair that contain a prohibited substance.

The decision comes after the agency prohibits the sale of all ointments available in the Brazilian market, on suspicion that the products are causing eye injuries, such as burning and temporary blindness.

Twenty-seven items were already suspended. Today, the agency determined the recall of products from all batches of five more brands.
