The National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS) suspended, for one quarter, the marketing of 31 health plans (see list), belonging to nine operators. The beneficiaries of these plans remain with their coverage, but new customers cannot be attracted until the evaluation improves.
The list of plans with sales suspended due to poor performance in customer service was released this Monday (19) and can be consulted on the ANS website, informed Agência Brasil. The regulatory agency based the suspension on the more than 46,000 complaints registered by customers in the first quarter of 2023, through the Service Guarantee Monitoring.
The plans that had their commercialization suspended in the most recent monitoring add up to 407 thousand users. The blocking of new sales takes effect on June 23, next Friday. For the suspension to be reviewed, companies need to improve performance at the next quarterly review. After the monitoring of the first quarter, 15 plans that had their sales suspended were released to enter into new contracts.
