The chain of Americanas stores is hiring professionals for temporary work this Easter. There are more than a thousand open positions across the country, according to the retailer, which is in judicial recovery.

The work will be face-to-face. To participate in the selection, you must have completed high school, age from 18 years old and availability to work until Monday, April 10th. Salary and hours were not disclosed.

The vacancy is for a store operator. No previous experience is required to apply. Hiring will be by CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws), for full time. The schedule, however, was not informed and may vary according to the work unit.

Crisis in Americanas and payment of wages

In crisis since the end of 2022, with the disclosure of accounting irregularities, the company prepared for Easter. For this, it paid suppliers in cash. Now, in judicial recovery, it claims to be paying off the wages of its employees.

“Americanas SA continues to operate normally within the rules of the Judicial Recovery process. This Thursday (30), the company paid salaries and benefits to its more than 40,000 employees throughout Brazil. Americanas continues with its more than 1,700 stores opened, delivering e-commerce orders at a normal pace, paying real estate rent amounts and all obligations with suppliers and sellers”, says a company note.

The current executive director, Leonardo Coelho, says that the opening of new jobs is a sign that the company continues to operate and generate opportunities.

“We remain optimistic about holding a great event, honoring our labor commitments and with our partners, and confident that we are on the right path to a full recovery”, he says.
