Amazonas Public Library promotes meeting to exchange books and comics

Manaus (AM) – You know that book you’ve already read and would like to share with others? The Amazonas Public Library will provide, this Sunday (27/08), from 9 am to 1 pm, a great opportunity to pass these books on with a morning of exchanging books and comics.

In the area specially set up for the exchange of books, visitors will be able to find a wide selection of works to take home. The goal is to provide the public with an experience of sharing and discovering new stories.

Only general literature, Brazilian literature, Amazonian literature, children’s literature, comics, comics, manga, books related to the Amazon, biographies and arts will be accepted. Other topics will be analyzed at the time of reception.

Didactic materials, political propaganda books, address and telephone lists, theses and dissertations, encyclopedias, pornographic materials, civil codes and outdated legislation, computer books, free religious books, magazines, coloring books will not be accepted.

Material that is dirty, infected, erased, deteriorated, torn, with stamps identifying institutions, with loose or missing pages will also not be accepted.

Books in general can be exchanged for any type of material. Those of children’s literature can be exchanged for children’s books and comics. Likewise, comic books can be exchanged for comic books or children’s literature books. Comics and manga can only be exchanged for comics and manga.

Children’s Space

For little lovers of reading, a space will be reserved especially for them. Children will be able to explore children’s books, and enjoy a warm and fun environment, helping and stimulating the imagination of young readers.

Monitored Visits

The program is also an opportunity to discover the secrets and curiosities of the Public Library of Amazonas through guided visits. Visitors will be guided through all spaces of the centenary building, presenting its history, architecture and collection. Entry is free. The Amazonas Public Library is located at Rua Barroso, 57 – Centro.
