The State climbed seven positions in the ranking of the Ministry of Development

Amazonas, through the State Board of Trade (Jucea), is the second fastest state for business registration in Brazil, according to data from the Bulletin for the 3rd quarter of 2022, from the Business Map of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services , published in January of this year.

Currently, it takes entrepreneurs 12 hours to open a new business on Amazonian soil, a reduction of five hours compared to the Bulletin for the 2nd quarter of 2022 of the Map of Companies, published in September 2022, in which citizens waited 17 hours to have the feasibility and registration process analyzed and approved.

For the president of the autarchy, Maria de Jesus Lins, the digital integration of all bodies involved in starting a business, in addition to the simplification, less bureaucracy and monitoring measures adopted by Jucea, are some of the factors that contributed to the significant reduction in record.

“We have been working to optimize the analysis of the registration processes as much as possible, including an exclusive follow-up with the city halls in the interior of the state, responsible for the viability of the address. We have already made a lot of progress, but we know that more needs to be done, and we are committed to that”, he pointed out.

Analyze

The bulletin evaluates the municipalities that are part of the National Network for Simplifying the Registration and Legalization of Companies and Businesses (Redesim), and computing the time that the integrated bodies analyze the requests for viability of the business name and address, and the processing of registration data at the Boards of Trade and tax registration bodies. In the case of Amazonas, all 62 municipalities are integrated into Redesim.

Still according to the Map, the time that the citizen takes to present the documentation to the public agencies between the stages of the process is not considered.

Requests for business permits and licenses and Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI) registrations are also not computed. It should be noted that permits and licenses are waived for companies carrying out activities considered to be low risk (60% of all companies).
