AM flutist is approved at the São Paulo Municipal Music School

Ingrid Rezende, just 16 years old, was a student at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Cláudio Santoro

Manaus (AM) – Flutist Ingrid Rezende stood out for passing, at just 16 years old, at the São Paulo Municipal Music School. The teenager was a student at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Cláudio Santoro for 10 years, and was part of the Youth Orchestra until the end of 2023.

His journey began at Liceu de Parintins, in 2013, where he studied music and participated in the arts school’s Symphonic Band. Afterwards, he moved to Manaus in search of greater opportunities for his studies and, at the Liceu unit based in the Manaus sambadrome, he gained prominence in the niche of his instrument, the transverse flute.

“The Liceu was very important for me because it guided me on my musical journey, from the beginning, and gave me all the foundation I have today, necessary for me to get here”, stated Ingrid, who highlights her experience in orchestras as the ones that made her evolve the most musically.

“Practicing in ensemble groups, from an early age, greatly improved my musical perception and my desire to study more. It awakened in me the desire to pursue a career as a musician, to be a professional flutist one day,” she added.

For Ingrid, a very important factor was the support of her family, who encouraged her from an early age in her musical career. The young woman encourages people who are on the same path to have courage and dedication to face the challenges of their professional journey within art.

“Speaking to other young musicians, I would recommend seeking to delve deeper, having the curiosity to explore music, your instrument, listening to various references and having the courage to do tests, auditions, enter music schools, institutions like the Liceu, which They help from an early age to develop musical talent, aiming to truly train as a musician. I think a great piece of advice, too, is not to give up along the way and stick with it”, concludes Ingrid.

The Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Cláudio Santoro is administered by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, with the aim of democratizing the teaching of arts such as theater, dance and music both in the capital and in the interior of the state .
