Sources interviewed by the report reported that the artist even locked himself in one of the cabins of a cruise docked in Santos
The Na Mira column found details of Operation Disco de Ouro, launched this Monday (4) by the Federal Police (PF) and which targeted the singer Alexandre Pires and his manager, Matheus Possebon. Sources interviewed by the report reported that the artist locked himself in one of the cabins of a cruise docked in Santos (SP) after the teams arrived, and investigators had to wait for him to leave. The attitude was possibly motivated by the fear of being arrested. The artist’s cell phone was seized.
The singer is suspected of receiving more than R$1 million from a mining company that explores Yanomami lands. The businessman is identified as a financial operator of illegal miners. In total, the scheme generated more than R$250 million.
Possebon was detained by investigators upon disembarking the ship. The businessman is one of the executives of Opus Entretenimento, which manages the careers of famous names in Brazilian music, such as Daniel, Seu Jorge, Ana Carolina, Munhoz and Mariano, among others. He also ventures into his musical career and has recorded in international studios.
Gold Record
The PF launched the operation this Monday (4), when it served a search and seizure warrant against the singer, who was performing on a cruise docked in Santos.
In addition, the teams served two arrest warrants, as well as six search and seizure warrants, issued by the 4th Federal Court of the Judiciary Section of Roraima, in Boa Vista (RR), Mucajaí (RR), São Paulo (SP), Santos ( SP), Santarém (PA), Uberlândia (MG) and Itapema (SC).
The operation occurred as a result of another PF action, launched in January 2022, when 30 tons of cassiterite extracted from TIY were found at the headquarters of an investigated company and were prepared for shipment abroad.
The police investigation reveals that the scheme would be aimed at “laundering” cassiterite illegally removed from Yanomami land and that the ore would be declared as originating from a regular mine on the Tapajós River, in Itaituba (PA), supposedly transported to Roraima for treatment.
The investigations showed that the dynamics would only occur on paper, as the ore would originate from the state of Roraima itself. At the time, the PF identified financial transactions that involved the entire production chain of the scheme, with the participation of aircraft pilots, in addition to assistance from gas stations, machinery stores, mining equipment and “oranges”, to cover up fraudulent transactions.
