Next Sunday (9), the Municipality of Valença, municipality of Bahia, will celebrate the opening of its airport with the inaugural Voepass flight, in partnership with Latam, coming from the Bahian capital Salvador.
According to Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) flight records, operations will always take place on Sundays, with departures from Salvador at 1:15 pm and return from Valença at 2:15 pm. On Thursdays, departures from Salvador take place at 2:45 pm and return at 3:45 pm.
The flights last only 23 minutes, due to the distance of just over 85 kilometers between the two municipalities. The new operations will be carried out with ATR 72 model aircraft, with capacity for 70 passengers, coming from numerous destinations operated by both companies.
The city of Valença is one of the most important tourist destinations in Bahia, known for its history, beautiful beaches and waterfalls, rich cuisine, cultural diversity and historical heritage. This new flight option to the municipality will make it easier for those who travel to the city and also want to discover the natural riches of the Baixo Sul region of Bahia.
“The Valença Airport now offers, in partnership between the municipality and the state and federal government, after a lot of work to adjust with the monitoring of the municipality, another option of air connection to the state of Bahia. It is a step forward to be taken celebrated for all sectors of the economy and in all other areas essential for development”, said the secretary of Tourism, Klayton Argolo.
