“Ainda me Iludo”, new song by singer Péricles released this Thursday (17)

The track is the first single from the album ‘Calendar’, which also features a tribute to the eternal queen of rock, Rita Lee.

For a year and a half without launching a studio project, singer Péricles starts promoting the album ‘Calendário’. To start the new work, the single “Ainda me Iludo” hits all streaming platforms this Thursday (17th), and the music video debuts on YouTube on Friday (18th).

“I’ve been really looking forward to this release and this first track is just the beginning of what’s to come. In addition to the song, we will also have a clip that was recorded in a hotel in the city of São Paulo. I am passionate about telling the story of the songs through these videos. It is something I really enjoy doing, in addition to being a great gift for our fans, who are always eager for news”,

Pericles speaks. The track ‘Ainda me Iludo’ will also be aired on the country’s main radio stations from the 23rd of this month.

Three months before entering the studio, Péricles and his music producer Izaias Marcelo listened to around 800 songs by countless Brazilian composers. 7 unreleased songs and a re-recording of the eternal Rita Lee were chosen. Over the next few months, the 8 tracks of the album will be released weekly.

“I bet a lot on the songs in this repertoire. These are songs that touch us deeply, make us happy and I am sure that people will identify with what was done and will love the result”,

says the singer.

The tracklist mixes songs that are part of the artist’s DNA, with others with a more current conception, such as “DQuem Jeitão”, which mixes, in a very interesting way, pagode and trap. The title track, “Calendário”, is signed by Péricles, his son Lucas Morato and his nephew Clayson Leandro.

“This song is my little xodo. It’s not the first time we’ve written and recorded together, but I hope this track is a great success and brings happiness to those who wait for a chance in the calendar to talk about love”,

said Pericles.

The repertoire is completed by “Suspeitei do Cara”, “Na Minha Pele”, “Fiquei no nearly”, “Essa Não”, whose composers include Thiaguinho, and “Desculpe o Auê”, a beautiful tribute to the queen of rock. .

Homage

According to Izaias Marcelo, Péricles’ music producer, in this re-recording, the first part of the song was recorded in Bossa Nova, with the artist singing in his usual tone. The second part was recorded in pagoda, in the original tone of Rita Lee’s first recording in 1983, something very difficult, due to the range of voice, but which he interpreted with the utmost naturalness, showing an unusual musical side, which nobody expected, and proving his impressive vocal technical quality, for having recorded in two distinct tones.

“One of the great joys that music brought me was having the chance to meet and sometimes share the stage with this great icon of our art. Here is our tribute!”,
