Afeam launches two new financing lines

Governor Wilson Lima (União Brasil) launched, this Friday (03), the +Crédito Amazonas 2023 program, which provides for the offer of R$ 277 million in credit operations directed at micro and small entrepreneurs in the state, with new limits and deadlines. Among the novelties are the offer of credit programs aimed at innovation and sustainable energy projects.

The governor highlighted that the goal is to invest, over the next four years, more than R$ 1 billion to accelerate the economic growth of Amazonas, a campaign commitment of the re-elected governor.

In a ceremony at the headquarters of the Amazonas State Development Agency (Afeam), a financial development institution of the State Government, the governor launched two new credit programs: Afeam +Sustainable Energy, for financing solar energy, which stimulate the production and/or use of renewable energy sources, promoting energy efficiency and reducing the impact on the environment; and Afeam +Inovação, encouraging the development, improvement and production of new products, processes and services through investments in innovative companies.

“Startups are already a reality in Brazil, especially here in the state of Amazonas, many young entrepreneurs were waiting for the opportunity to expand or start a business, a startup, and there was no way to access credit. Today this is possible, in the same way that we are attuned to the issue of sustainability, of renewable energy sources”, highlighted Wilson Lima.

The resumption of financing lines, in 2023, has updated amounts and terms, which can reach up to R$ 200,000 depending on the size of each client, with terms for working capital of up to 36 months and for the acquisition of fixed investments of up to 60 months to pay. The new conditions are aimed at micro and small entrepreneurs in the state and in all sectors of the economy, with approximately 90% of the volume of resources coming from the Support Fund for Micro and Small Companies and Social Development of the State of Amazonas (FMPES).

Among the beneficiaries are the self-employed, self-employed professionals, rural producers, individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI), micro and small companies. Afeam’s goal is for the volume of resources and operations to be carried out in 2023 to exceed the investment record achieved last year.

Deputies from the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam) were present at the credit launch ceremony for the current year, such as the President of the House, Roberto Cidade, Adjuto Afonso, Débora Menezes, Sinésio Campos and Abdala Fraxe; Councilwoman Jaqueline, from the Manaus City Council (CMM); ten entrepreneurs also participated, who contribute by raising funds, maintaining jobs and generating new ones.

Among them, Maria Celeste, who has been working in the sewing business for 20 years and set up her own business with funding from Afeam. “When I started sewing, I had no financial conditions. That’s when I looked for Afeam and she held out her arms and I hugged her, right? Today, what I am, I thank her a lot and before I worked for others, now I work for myself, for my own business, I work with children’s clothing and that’s all good”, commented the micro-entrepreneur.

The resources can be used for working capital/costing, acquisition of machinery and equipment, works and civil construction reforms aiming at the implementation, modernization and expansion of enterprises, as well as innovation projects (startups) and improvement of energy efficiency, through alternative sources, such as the installation of equipment to generate energy from a renewable source (solar energy).

Balance

From 2019 to 2022, the record loan application offered amounts to BRL 572 million, totaling more than 57.2 thousand operations. The goal of the Government of Amazonas is to invest, through the Development Agency of the State of Amazonas, BRL 1 billion over the next four years, BRL 277 of which in 2023 alone, focusing on the resumption of economic growth in the capital and inland.

How to apply for credit

The entire credit process is done online, through the Customer Portal on the Afeam website (www.afeam.am.gov.br). For operations in the primary sector, interested parties should go to the Local Unit of Idam in their municipality, with the complete documentation, according to the list of documents available on the Afeam website.

“It is a non-bureaucratic credit, only with identity, CPF, proof of residence and even restrictions, a determination of our governor, we will maintain the registration restrictions of 2020, in the pandemic”, highlighted the CEO of Afeam, Marcos Vinicius Castro.
