Cook was hospitalized, but died on Friday
Cook Wilson Cabral, aged 40, died after suffering a car accident in the municipality of Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo. The former participant of Masterchef Professionals had an accident on Friday (14th), was hospitalized, but died a week later, on the last 21st.
The news was confirmed by the cook’s family. Wilson is survived by his wife and son.
“It is with heavy hearts that I come here to report Wilson’s death. Unfortunately, his time to delight you with his wonderful food and dishes is over. I am in shock but very happy to have been part of his life during these years. Now it’s trusting God and believing that everything he left will serve as pride for the son he loved so much”,
posted his wife Simone on a social network.
As of the 2022 season of Masterchef, Wilson was considered one of the show’s strongest contestants. The cook reached the semifinals, but was eliminated by his opponent and friend Diego Sacilotto, champion of the season.
The wake will take place this Saturday (22), from 7 pm, in Sorocaba. The burial will be at the Santo Antônio Cemetery, after the procession, which begins at 2 pm on Sunday (23).
