Ypiranga and Grêmio face each other in the other semi, in Erechim

After a week of decisive games for the second phase of the Copa do Brasil, Ypiranga and Grêmio start this Sunday (19), at 4 pm, the dispute for the other vacancy in the Gauchão decision. The first leg for the semifinal of the State will be played at the Colosso da Lagoa stadium, in Erechim.
Last year, Tricolor beat Canarinho in the Gauchão final. The home team is motivated, after eliminating Red Bull Bragantino with a 3-1 victory, on Wednesday, and moving forward in the national competition.
The tendency is for both teams to use maximum force. Even packed by the classification, the Erechim team needs to end a taboo of almost 30 years to reach the State decision. Since 1964, Grêmio and Ypiranga have faced each other on 36 occasions for Gauchão. There were 23 grêmio victories, 12 draws and only one victory for Canarinho. The Capital team scored 65 goals, while the Interior team scored another 22 times. Ypiranga’s only victory came in 1994, by 2-1.
