What will be the influence of polarization in the 2024 municipal election
– Episode of the 15 Minutos podcast talks about the influence of political polarization in this year’s municipal election
*) For some time now, Brazilian politics has been living with the so-called polarization, represented especially by supporters of President Lula (PT), on the one hand, and former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), on the other.
In fact, the most competitive presidential election in the history of Brazilian democracy, in 2022, consolidated this process of polarization. That year, unlike elections with direct votes since 1989, the results of the polls spilled over into society, with repercussions on relationships and the population’s daily choices.
This phenomenon of national polarization could be decisive in municipal elections for the first time, with weight equivalent to the local proposals presented in mayoral campaigns.
Recently, the People’s Gazette published an article on this topic. The guest to talk about the subject is the Rafael Fantinwho signs this report.
