Valentine’s Day: where to order ready-made dinners – 09/06/2023 – Restaurants


Crowded restaurants, queues and the need to save are reasons for many people
organize a Valentine’s Day dinner at home — but without losing the romance atmosphere.

Restaurants and rotisseries are prepared to help, even at the last minute, those who don’t know how or don’t want to cook on the date. The following itinerary lists establishments that will deliver on Monday (12) or sell dishes almost ready for withdrawal.

The Valentine’s Day menu (R$ 270 per person), with four stages, can be ordered for the 11th (dinner) and 12th (lunch and dinner). Among the options are spaghetti with shrimp and Sicilian lemon sauce and breaded filet mignon, stuffed with cheese fonduta, plus gnocchi.

Single dishes and kits are delivered vacuum-packed, for completion at home. The individual kit of Provençal octopus (R$ 108) includes mashed potatoes and a mix of peppers. For two, the cheese fondue kit with artisan charcuterie board costs R$ 175. On June 12th, delivery and withdrawals close at 3:30 pm.

Santa Luzia House
The menu of dishes for the date has 82 items — from delicacies for breakfast to special dishes for dinner, such as puff pastry brie with red fruit compote (R$ 61, 310 g), duck rice with Portuguese sausage (R$ $211 a kilo), burrata caprese capeloni (R$50, 300g) and heart-shaped red velvet cake (R$247 a kilo).

Kitchen Scene
Peruvian chef Victor Lopez prepares typical recipes from his country in two complete menus. One of them (R$350 for two) has ceviche, vegetable soup with shrimp, squid rice in a creamy sauce and pie with seasonal fruit. Orders must be placed by this Saturday, for delivery on the 12th or pick up in Pinheiros.

The individual dishes signed by chef Bruno Canô will be available for collection. Among the options are choux do amô, with sun-duck rillet stuffing, over salted sugar caramel (R$ 36.63), and cured wagyu ribs, wrapped in puff pastry, accompanied by pumpkin and shitake muslin braised in tucupi (R$ 134.90). For pick up at the restaurant, orders must be placed by 3pm on the 12th.

Gaeta Masseria
Pasta and sauces are the specialty of the rotisserie, which will have buffalo mozzarella raviolis in the shape of a heart on Valentine’s Day (R$ 53, for two). There are eight types of sauce, including the champagne sauce (R$34, for two) and the lemon cream sauce (R$31, for two). The filet mignon with sauce and caramelized onions costs R$184 (for two).

New dishes created for Valentine’s Day will be sold separately for prompt delivery at the Sumaré store. Among them, there is pasta filled with duck and mushroom (R$ 75, for two) and heart-shaped soufflé cake (R$ 50, two). At the factory store, in Vila Romana, cappelle with mozzarella and provolone (R$120 a kilo) can be purchased with tomato sauce (R$80 a liter) and Italian straw (R$13, 100 g).

Petit Comite Rotisserie & Deli
Two menus with appetizers, starters and desserts will be available for immediate delivery. The classic (R$350) has mozzarella ravioli with tomato sauce as the main dish —dessert is heart-shaped chocolate and walnut brownie. Dishes can also be purchased separately.

Tasquinha da Serra
The Valentine’s Day menu will be served at the Serra da Cantareira restaurant and will also be available for pick up at the rotisserie. One of the options is the combo with octopus à lagareiro and a bottle of white or rosé wine (R$265 for two). The stuffed pasta combo with red wine, for two, costs R$143. Dishes must be reserved by Sunday, to be picked up on Monday, between 11am and 8pm.

Vinheria Percussi Delivery
Chef Silvia Percussi’s menu, with three stages (R$ 323, for two), has tomato bruschetta, raw ham, burrata ravioli in tomato sauce, filet with gorgonzola dolce, caramel cream and tiramisu among the options. Couples get a bottle of Chilean wine as a gift.
