TRE Amapá holds logistics and transport alignment meetings – Diário do Amapá


The acting president of the Regional Electoral Court of Amapá (TRE-AP), judge Carmo Antônio de Souza, promoted on the afternoon of this Monday, September 30th, a meeting with drivers who will work in the transport of equipment and servers during the 2024 Municipal Elections. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Administration and Budget, Dilma Pimenta, the coordinator of Electoral Inspectorate, Elinete Nunes, the General Director, Valentim Maia, and members of the Transport Commission.

During the meeting, essential topics were discussed such as responsibility in transporting ballot boxes and materials, the importance of punctuality and the commitment of each driver to guarantee safe and efficient operations, which are essential for the smooth running of the electoral process.

“Drivers, at this moment, are an extension of the Electoral Court. Therefore, we need to align procedures and conduct, ensuring that everything occurs within the safety and effectiveness standards that the claim requires”emphasized judge Carmo Antônio de Souza.

For the elections, 170 requested and 270 rented vehicles were mobilized, in addition to the entire TRE Amapá fleet. Among the drivers, Ágatha Menezes, who will be participating in the elections for the second time, shared her experience and expressed pride in the responsibility of participating in this moment.

“Driving during the election period is a big challenge, especially in an environment that is still predominantly male. But it is also a huge responsibility and an honor to know that I can contribute to the construction of democracy”, he stated.

Meeting with servers

On the occasion, judge Carmo Antônio de Souza met with the employees who are part of the Technical Support Center (NAT), who will work in the registry offices and outposts of the Electoral Justice throughout Amapá during the 2024 Municipal Elections. exercise highlighted the importance of civil servants’ actions for the smooth running of the election, especially in the interior regions of the state, providing guidance on conduct and provision of services.
