TRE Amapá begins preparing room for ballot audit – Diário do Amapá
This Tuesday, the 1st, the Audit Committee of the Electronic Ballot Box of the Regional Electoral Court of Amapá (TRE-AP) began preparing the location where the integrity and authenticity tests of the ballot boxes audited on election day will be carried out. The Court dismantled the auditorium of the Amapá Judicial Electoral School (EJE-AP) to hold all the material that will be used.
Around 150 employees will be directly involved in the audit, operating a structure made up of 25 video cameras, 25 televisions, 25 lavalier microphones, simultaneous subtitle translation equipment and two LED panels. The entire procedure will be broadcast in real time, and can be followed on the official TRE Amapá YouTube channel, reinforcing the commitment to transparency in the process.
As part of the preparations to ensure greater publicity and security in the 2024 election, judge Marconi Pimenta, president of the Electronic Voting Audit Commission (BASEMENT), met with the magistrates of all electoral zones in the state to discuss the technical alignment of the draw of the ballot boxes that will be audited, which will take place on the 5th, the day before the elections.
The judge Marconi Pimenta emphasized the importance of magistrates’ attention at this crucial moment: “I ask everyone to pay attention to the draw of the ballot boxes that will be audited, as this is a fundamental step to ensure the transparency and security of the entire electoral process. I count on everyone’s collaboration so that all procedures are carried out with maximum integrity. Our objective is to guarantee peaceful elections with full respect for the will of the people, maintaining society’s trust in the Electoral Court.”
With this, TRE Amapá reinforces its commitment to safe and transparent elections, ensuring that each stage of the process occurs with rigor and responsibility.
