Minister Ricardo Lewandowski, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), suspended five criminal actions involving six people who used evidence obtained in the leniency agreement signed by the construction company Odebrecht in the investigations of Operation Lava Jato, and which were declared invalid by the Second Panel of the Court. The decision to suspend the proceedings was given on Monday (13) and released on Tuesday (14) (see in full).

According to Lewandowski, the criminal actions were based on evidence obtained from the Drousys and My Web Day systems, and considered contaminated by the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba. The same happened recently with the suspension of the criminal action that investigated alleged irregular donations of BRL 4 million to the Lula Institute involving director Paulo Okamoto and former minister Antonio Palocci, among others.

One of the lawsuits suspended this Tuesday (14) concerns former Senator Edison Lobão (MDB) on suspicion of corruption and money laundering in the works of the Belo Monte plant, in the state of Pará. Also involved are the son, Márcio Lobão, and the daughter-in-law, Marta Lobão. The former senator was Minister of Mines and Energy in the governments of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Dilma Rousseff (PT) between 2008 and 2010 and 2011 and 2015, respectively.

In another, Admiral Othon Pinheiro da Silva, former president of Eletronuclear, is cited for alleged crime related to the construction of the Navy’s Shipyard and Naval Base in Itaguaí (RJ).

A third action is against businessman Jorge Atherino, accused of being a financial operator for the former governor of Paraná, Beto Richa, on suspicion of corruption in the bidding process for the duplication of the PR-323.

The last two suspended actions involve lawyer Rodrigo Tacla Duran, suspected of money laundering for Odebrecht.
