Sport and leisure mark student festival promoted by the social project “Sport is Safety” – Diário do Amapá


The Government of Amapá promoted this Saturday, 28th, the second stage of the university student festival, of the social project “Esporte é Segurança”, which provides opportunities for exchange, socialization and strengthening of friendship bonds between children, young people and elderly people participating in social projects of Public Security.

The initiative coordinated by the Amapá Integrated Training and Improvement Academy (Aifa) It featured sports practices and performances such as recorder and sambo. During the program, the fundraising course for social projects of the State’s Public Security was concluded.

“Throughout this week, Aifa trained technicians from different areas of public security and Samu, so that everyone can manage their social projects, relating the needs of the projects with the source of resources and thus effectively execute their social initiatives ”highlighted the Aifa coordinator, Alan Coimbra.

Aifa’s social project has been running for 16 years and today, it has over 2,700 students, who practice various sports such as judo, jiu-jitsu, muay thai, capoeira and recorder.

“Everything that students learn within sport they take to school, such as being dedicated, focused on what they have to learn, respect for people, parents, elders and so on, we will certainly have a better society in the future. Therefore, the idea of ​​expanding, of seeking resources so that projects can be strengthened”pointed out the project coordinator, civil police officer Antonio Viana.

“Today I travel to competitions, I have several medals and I feel very fulfilled because of this, I am immensely grateful to the coordinators for this opportunity; Therefore, it is important that more institutions start to offer these projects, as it will serve more people and for those who are already in their prime like me, I make a point of saying, participate, it is very good”celebrated the athlete.
