SP surpasses MG in power of own energy generation – 03/14/2023 – Panel SA

The state of São Paulo surpassed Minas Gerais in terms of installed power generated by its own energy, according to the survey that the ABGD (sector association) will release this week.
At the end of last year, SP had already surpassed Minas in the number of consumers who generate their own energy, driven by solar panels on roofs.
Now, with the overtaking in installed power, São Paulo reaches 2,587 gigawatts, a level slightly above MG.
São Paulo is also the state with the most micro and mini-generation plants distributed in Brazil. There are around 300,000 units, according to the survey.
