Sabesp suffers from Nunes’ ally tracks in pipeline – 09/29/2024 – Panel
Sabesp had to deploy teams on two occasions to remove campaign banners for councilor candidate Cesar Azevedo (União Brasil) from a pipeline that crosses the Tietê River and is located in the region of the Casa Verde bridge, in the north of São Paulo.
Azevedo was municipal secretary of Urbanism and president of SPUrbanismo (a municipal company linked to the Secretariat of Urban Development) of Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB), who supports him and participated in the launch of his candidacy for councilor.
“Sabesp informs that it does not allow advertising in its spaces and has removed the material twice”, says the company to the Panel, without informing whether it opened a police report. Azevedo states that he is not aware of the occurrence and was not notified by Sabesp.
The entrance to the place where the banners were hung is protected by a gate with sharp edges, which had to be jumped by people accessing the space.
