Rapper from Manaus ‘Pinheiru’ releases the single ‘Trakinas Freestyle’ after two years on hiatus

The song marks the artist’s return to the routine of creation and production

Manaus (AM) – After more than two years of hiatus, the rapper from Manaus, Giovani Pinheiro, “Pinheiru”, returns to the Amazonian art scene with the single “Trakinas Freestyle”. Released last Wednesday (22), the song is available on major digital platforms.

The time away from music was due to a fatality. Pinheiru is a member of the musical group Mawato, and produced the sounds in the studio of his friend and fellow rapper, Viegaz. In 2020, the place caught fire, burning all the recording equipment and also the musicians’ spirits.

“We lost everything. Even songs already produced. After that, we got discouraged, even though we really wanted to make music. Over time, I bought some equipment and went back to producing, the way I could. Today, thanks to God and the people who helped me, we are back to releasing a song”,

Now, at another time, Pinheiru seeks to return to the creation routine. It is in this momentum that “Trakinas Freestyle” appears, a Boom Bap that unites sound and a river of references.

“My inspirations are many. Musically speaking, Trakinas Freestyle has a lot of Febre 90’s duo, which drinks in the Golden Era but is still current. However, in the lyrics of my songs there are other things. Reference to samba, video games, drawing. A little bit of everything that is part of my universe”,

Future works

With the reinsertion in music, Pinheiru does not intend to produce only rap. Among the paths to the future, local references and other musical styles are what guide the wishes of the manauara artist.

“I want to do a lot. I am inspired by local references, like Kurt Sutil doing a show with a band, bringing his group (Aposse92). But I also want to produce other rhythms, like samba, rock. A little of everything!”
